For those that have been following along with the craziness of this year, we have been renovating to sell the farm and move onto a house that is truly ours. And what a renovation it has been! My father in law is truly a master at what he does and I can’t thank him enough for his time. With that said, we don’t want to do anything to the walls or space that would mean patching holes or painting in the near future when it sells. That hasn’t stopped me from dreaming until my heart’s content about what my future home will look like with particular attention on the living room. My thoughts must have been obvious because Arhaus.com asked me to create a mood board about my dream space! Get ready to check out my vintage inspired living room with a mix of my own finds and Arhaus.com pieces that are top-notch. I have tried to link to some of the pieces but ALL of the links directly to the featured pieces can be found via this Pinterest board.
The piece that really crafted the entire vintage inspired feel is that gorgeous sectional sofa! It’s the Pier two piece sectional sofa – it’s a light blue linen fabric that’s neutral enough for any space. Combine that with these super cute grain sack pillows (authentic and repurposed – be still my heart) from Sherry at Distressed Vintage Furniture Company. It might be slightly obvious which pillow is my favorite. Pair this super awesome cowhide ottoman with the entire sofa set-up and make my dreams come true!
I also have to point out the shaggy sheepskin chair – you KNOW that it would be the most amazing statement piece and super soft too!
My mood board also included a few wall hanging pieces like the vintage inspired periodic table panel and that pristine looking lace-like plate – there are actually 3 different versions to choose from.
I would go with option “all three please”. I’m also really loving the fan coral in my favorite color – it would work well paired on the wall with my authentic vintage map of the Chesapeake Bay waterways.
Not included in the mood board but definitely included in my living space are some of my own finds including this chair from Amanda at Ruby Twine – she is another vendor at the Vintage Market at the Old Red Barn.
Every time I see this grain sack chair and ottoman, I secretly wonder how much Amanda would truly notice it’s missing if I just sneaked it into the back of my truck.
Another chair that has to be mentioned is the one for Kurt. This can be a difficult subject as he turns into Goldilocks looking for the perfect bed when it comes to recliners. I love this super comfy and sophisticated leather one from Arhaus.
Speaking of leather, how cool would this leather ice bucket look filled with succulents or flowers?
I could see it on the factory cart table. Paired with a few of my vintage horse ribbons, it would make for a great equestrian inspired tablescape.
The most challenging part had to be selecting a lamp from the multitudes of lamps that caught my eye on the Arhaus site. From this amazing architect inspired lamp,
to this amazing architectural beauty,
but I finally narrowed it down to this industrial gem.
And to mix it up a bit, here is another mood board I created using some of the key pieces from the first.
As you can tell, I’ve had quite a bit of fun searching and narrowing down my favorites on the Arhaus site. Go check it out and let me know if there is anything that you would recommend I add to my mood board. Don’t forget to check out the Arhaus Living Room landing page for more inspiration and ideas as well as the Pinterest board I created just for these pieces!
